In the morning we shall visit the Sanxingdui Museum, which houses Sichuan most important Shu cultural sites. This museum gives us great insight into what life was like in the area between 3000 and 5000 years ago.

Day 2:Chengdu/ Ya'an /Chengdu (B/L)
Our guide will collect you at the hotel to begin a full day tour of Ya'an Panda Reserve. Probably the earliest reserves of its kind in China this 200,000 hectare park are a truly splendid way to see the panda in its natural state.

Attraction DescriptionSanxingdui Museum
Sanxingdui is the site of one of the most important ancient remains in the world and is a cultural relic of the ancient Shu people. Throughout the years, there have been several generations of archaeologists digging here. There recently have also been several ditches dug in the ground to try and unearth more important findings.
Ya'an Panda Reserve
Ya'an Bifengxia Panda Reserve was begun to be built in October 2002 and finished about the same time the next year, with an area of 400 hectares. The base is divided into four functional areas: Training area for pandas to be released in simulated wild environments, Raising and Bredding area, Administation area, Bamboo cultivation area.
