Heavenly Lake

The Heavenly Lake is one of the most famous sites to visit in the area of Changbai and also within Dongbei. This lake, with a depth of almost 300 meters, is the deepest alpine lake in China. The Heavenly Lake is also the epicenter of many volcanic craters scattered throughout the area and is the largest out of all of them with a circumference of 13 kilometers and at an elevation of 2,194 meters above sea level. The Heavenly Lake is the source for three of Jilin's famous rivers: the Tumen, Songhua and Yalu. The climate in this area can be very disagreeable, with frequent rain falls; however, this only adds to the freshness of the air and the clean environment.
If you want to get away from all of the tourists that visit the lake, it is best to stay here for a couple of days because many of the tourists who come for a only a day trip will leave by the afternoon, creating a more peaceful environment. The Heavenly Lake is a must-see destination when you travel to Tianshan Mountain. Here's some guide information of the Heavenly Lake. Location: Heavenly Lake, Xinjiang Region.
