Trip Highlights - Tour Itinerary: (Lunch) In the morning, you will be picked up from you hotel to start your day tour. First you will visit the Giant Panda Breeding Research Base , the best time to see the pandas. Giant Panda Breeding Research Base is one of the biggest if not the biggest centers in the world for pandas and is truly unique. The base has serves several purposes, and has a research lab, panda kindergarten, museum and adult panda areas. Next you will visit Sanxingdui Museum. This museum has some of the most important artifacts from the Shu period 4,800 to 2,800 years ago. In 1929, an excavation by a farmer first led to the discovery of the relics and the excavation still continues today. Afterwards you will be driven back to your hotel for the remainder of the day.

Giant Panda Breeding Research Base
Home to giant pandas, red (or lesser) pandas, and other endangered species. Visit the nursery to see the highly successful breeding program, bamboo groves and shady walkways, to view the pandas at rest and play. There's a wealth of information and a panda museum in this 230-hectare park 10km (6 miles) north of Chengdu.
Sanxingdui Museum
Sanxingdui is the site of one of the most important ancient remains in the world and is a cultural relic of the ancient Shu people. Throughout the years, there have been several generations of archaeologists digging here. There recently have also been several ditches dug in the ground to try and unearth more important findings.
