Tour Itinerary
You will be picked up at your hotel. Visit Wuhou Temple, built in the sixth century to honor Zhuge Liang. And continue on to the Dufu Thatched Cottage. Dufu was one of the greatest poets of the Tang Dynasty and the Dufu Cottage is his residence when he took refuge in Chengdu. Afterwards, have lunch at a local restaurant. Then, visit the Giant Panda Breeding Research Base where you will be able to view several different kinds of pandas and some other animals. Finally, visit Wangjiang Tower, the memorial to a female poet of the Tang Dynasty, Xue Tao. This tower is a symbol of Chengdu city. Afterwards, you will be driven back to your hotel for the remainder of the day.
Wuhou Temple, built in the sixth century, is located next to the Temple of Liu Bei and then in the early years of the Ming Dynasty was merged into the Zhaolie Temple.
Dufu Thatched Cottage is the former residence of Du Fu, one of the most famous Tang Dynasty and Chinese poets. The inside of the Cottage is home to several buildings, including the Gongbuci Temple, Shaoling Stone Monument and many others.
Giant Panda Breeding Research Base is one of the biggest if not the biggest centers in the world for pandas and is truly unique. The base has serves several purposes, and has a research lab, panda kindergarten, museum and adult panda areas.
Wangjiang Tower is one of the most famous cultural relics in Chengdu. Wangjiang Tower honors a women poet from the Tang Dynasty, Xue Tao.
