Tour Itinerary
Today, you will be taken out of Guilin City and have a excursion tour to the famous Longji Village to watch the rice terraces. Visitors are picked up from the hotel in Guilin and escorted to Pingan Zhuang Village, which is in close proximity to Longsheng County. The Dragon's Backbone consists of over 60 square kilometers of terraced rice fields built in the Yuan dynasty, but only completed in the Qing dynasty by the Zhuang people. Boosting scenic mountains, uniquely shaped Rice Terraces, and beautifully constructed wooden houses, the village is truly a great sightseeing experience for all guests alike. After the tour, visitors are transferred to the hotel.
Longji Terrace
Southeast of Guilin city there are numerous terraced fields, including those of Longji Village from the Ming dynasty. These fields demonstrate some of the imposing beauty of the rice fields, and are built along the slope that winds from the river bank to the top of the mountain.
Longsheng Village
Longsheng town is located in the area that joins the Heping and the Sang Rivers. The town is 100 kilometers to the north of Guilin, and surrounded on all sides by mountains. Because of this, the town contains banyan trees amongst its buildings. The Yinshui Dong Village lies two kilometers west of Longsheng town, which runs from the mountaintop like a chain.
