West Lake, one of the best places to enjoythe beauty of the lake. Although the islet is not short on gardens and pavilions of all sorts it is most famous for the "Three Towers Mirroring the Moon". These are actually three pagodas built on the water itself that are said to control evil spirits and on certain days in August they house perfectly reflections of the moon.
Six Harmonies Pagoda is found near Hangzhou City, on the north bank of Qiantang River. It is built as two rings, the outer ring housing the cloister and the inner ring housing the small room.
Lingyin Temple was constructed in 325 AD, on Lingyin Mountain, and is among the most famous Buddhist monasteries in China. The main temple has an interesting collection of gilded statues and ornate furniture including a famous laughing Buddha statue, made from camphor wood and encased in gold.
