Tour Itinerary: (Lunch) Today's Activity: Garden of the Master of Nets, Humble Administrator's Garden, Lingering Garden
English guide and vehicle will meet you from your hotel on the morning. Then, you will be taken to the Garden of the Master of Nets, the smallest garden in Suzhou. The small space encompasses all the elements of a classic Chinese garden within close boundaries. Next you will visit the Humble Administrator's Garden, the largest of the gardens. The garden is representative of Chinese classical gardens in the Ming Dynasty. Finally you will visit Lingering Garden. In 1997, the garden, along with other classical gardens in Suzhou, was recorded by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. Afterwards you will be driven back to your hotel for the remainder of the day.

The garden was built in the Song Dynasty and went through several renovations after the Taiping Rebellion that occurred in the 1860s. The garden is very beautiful and focuses around the centerpiece pond that is filled with fish. There is also an art gallery inside filled with local Suzhou works of art that can be purchased if so desired.
Lingering Garden is very unique in that a good portion of the garden is filled with buildings of various kinds of architecture and the gardens use the spaces between these buildings to fill up the area with beauty. Lingering Garden is focused on a central pond with pavilions, terraces, chambers, and towers located nearby. The garden was listed as a cultural relic of national importance in 1961 by the Chinese government.
