Tour Itinerary
The tour kicks off with a visit to the Guiyuan Temple, one of the four largest Buddhsit temples in Hubei Province. Afterwards, continue on to see the Yellow Crane Tower, one of the most famous towers on the Yangtze River, and also an inspirational source for poets and celebrities. Facing the Yangtze River to the north, and the downtown areas on the rest of the sides, Yellow Crane Tower is an ideal place to view the surrounding scenery, most notably the Yangtze River. Afterwards, visit the Hubei Provincial Museum, which is the most comprehensive museum in central China, displaying unearthed relics in Hubei.
Yellow Crane Tower was first built in 223 A.D. and the construction of the present tower was finished in 1985. Throughout its history, the tower was destroyed several times. Yellow Crane Tower overlooks the Yangtze River and is a very important inspirational place for Chinese celebrities and poets.
The Yangtze River Bridge in Wuhan, completed in 1957, was the first bridge ever built over the Yangtze River. The bridge is 1,670 meters in length and has two levels, one for cars and one for trains. This is also known as the first highway/railway bridge in China.
