Trip Highlights - Zhangjiajie tour is well-renowned in China for its unique natural scenery. Zhangjiajie is located in the northeast of Hunan Province, China. Wulingyuan Scenic and Historic Interest Area is about 30km north of downtown Zhangjiajie. The most characteristic feature is the quartzes sandstone landform, which is rare in the world. In 1992, it was listed as a World Natural Heritage by UNESCO. Zhangjiajie has a few important neighbours such as the Fenghuang (an ancient town), Shaoshan (Mao Zedongs birthplace), Changsha (capital city of Hunan Province) and etc. Off the beaten track but none the less beautiful and interesting, come see the hidden culture, charm and history.

Tour Itinerary
Day 1:Fenghuang Ancient City (L/D)
After lunch, guests are taken to visit the Great Wall and Huangsiqiao Ancient Town, which was built during the Tang Dynasty. Afterwards, guests are transferred back to the hotel.

Day 2:Fenghuang Ancient City (B/L)
Continue to visit the Fenghuang City, including the homes of famous figures. Afterwards, guests are taken on an unforgettable boat ride down the Tuojiang River, where they get the chance to view the stilted houses positioned on both sides of the river. After lunch, guests visit Dehang miao minority village, and then drive back to Zhangjiajie city.

Fenghuang Ancient City was originally built in the early Qing Dynasty and maintains its initial appearance after three hundred years of vicissitude. At present, the eastern and northern gate towers are well preserved. Classical characteristics can be found everywhere, including streets paved with bluestone blocks in the city, timber-frame stilted house at the riverside, as well as Zhaoyang (Rising Sun) Palace, Tianwang (Heaven Gods) Temple, Dacheng Palace, Wanshou (Longevity) Palace and other buildings.
Zhangjiajie is best known for its unique tourist resources, including the Wulingyuan Scenic Area, made up of the First National Forest Park-Zhangjiajie and two nature reserves, Suoxi Gully and Emperor Mountain, which altogether make up a total of 369 square km.
