Tour Itinerary
This part of the country is also the central area of the development of Chinese culture. There are such famous sites as the Shaolin Temple, Longmen Caves and the White Horse Temple. When in Zhengzhou you will first visit the Yellow River scenic spot. Here you can see one of the most magnificent rivers in the entire country. For the second stop of the tour, you will visit the Henan Provincial Museum. This is one of China’s oldest museums and has many modern displays. In 1991 the museum was remodeled and in 1999 the official reopening of the museum was help, declaring its new name the Henan Museum. The museum is home to several important relics. After your visit of the museum you will be brought back to your hotel.
The Shaolin Temple was founded in 496 AD during the Northern Wei Dynasty to honor an Indian monk named Bodhidharma. The birth place of Chinese Buddhism is said to have began here and is also the home to China's famous marital arts.
The Longmen Grottoes are caves that hold ancient Buddhist art. They were all carved during the Northern Wei period, more than 1500 years ago, when the capital of China was relocated to Luoyang near the end of the 5th century.
White Horse Temple, It is the first Buddhist temple in the Chinese history ever since Buddhism came to China, is magnificent in scope including many halls,chambers and towers.
