Tianjin Fortune Lake Golf Club was awarded as the landmark course of Tianjin in 2007 and was awarded as one of the five new courses in China in 2008. It is located in the famous Tuanbohu (Fortune Lake) Scenic Area in the southwest in Tianjin City, with only 22 kilometers to the center of Tianjin and around 10 minutes' drive from the downtown Tianjin. The course of Tianjin Fortune Lake Golf Club, with an area of over 2,000,000 square, is designed by golf course design company TP which is owned by famous Australian golf champion Mr. Peter Thomson who was a champion of the Open Championship.
The club possesses a 36-hole golf course. The first 18 holes course and the second international championship course were respectively opened to the public in 2003 and 2005. A course and B course are considered as the most challenging courses in Tianjin so far. And the new C course and D course are typical links courses and deemed as the best links course in North China.
