Trip Highlights - Yinchuan 1-Day Highlight Tour takes you to appreciate “a land of fish and rice on the frontier”. Yinchuan, the capital city of the Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, is an often-overlooked city that is irrigated by the mighty Yellow River. Located in the middle reaches of the Yellow River, has mountains and plateaus as its major topgraphical forms. Boosting over 1,300 years of brilliant history, Yinchuan has become a famous tourist city in China. There are over 60 historical sites and natural scenery areas in and around the city. Some notable tourist scenic sights include Laocheng, the mysterious Xixia Wangling, or Mausoleums of the Western Xia, which is about 20 km outside the city.

Tour Itinerary
In the morning you will be driven to Sand Lake for a little rest and relaxation. This lake covers more than 80 kilometers and the area is composed of sands, water and hills. Afterwards you will visit the Oriental Pyramid/Western Xia Mausoleum and the Western Xia film and Television City, where 60 movies have been made since the 1980s. Then you will drive back to Yinchuan for the night.

Sand Lake, located in Ningxia, is one of the most exciting lakes to visit in China. There are several activities that one can do on or around the lake - including surfing and water motorcycling,
The Western Xia Tombs is located near Helan Mountain and contains the tombs of emperors from the Western Xia period. There are eight tumuli and over 70 annex tombs and is one of the largest and best preserved tomb sites in China.
The Western Film and Television City is located in Yinchuan and is where over 60 movies have been filmed since the 1980s. Visiting this location will give you an idea of how Chinese movies are made.
