Congo

The Republic of the Congo, also known as Congo-Brazzaville, or simply the Congo, is a country in Central Africa. The republic is a former French colony. It covers an area of 342,000 square kilometers with an estimated population of 3.7 million by 2009. Upon independence in 1960, the former French region of Middle Congo became the Republic of the Congo.The Congo established diplomatic relations with China on February 22nd, 1964. Since then the bilateral relations have been developing smoothly and stably.
