Italy, the Italia Republic or the Republic of Italy, is located on the Italian Peninsula in Southern Europe and on the two largest islands in the Mediterranean Sea, Sicily and Sardinia. The territory of Italy covers an aera of 301,388 square kilometers with a population of 60 million which is the the fourth-largest population in the European Union and the 23rd-largest population worldwide. Italy is one of the most important trade partner in Europe Counties. China and Italy established diplomatic relations on December 6th, 1970. Since then the two have been on a healthy paternership on many aspects.
