Gabon

Located on the Atlantic coast of central Africa on the equator, Gabon is a west central African country, which has an equatorial climate with an extensive system of rainforests covering 85% of the country. It covers an area of 267,745 square meters and has an estimated population of over 1.5 million people. Gabon is more prosperous than most nearby countries, in large part due to offshore oil production. After its termination with Taiwan, the two established diplomatic relations in March, 1974. The friendship and cooperation between China and Gabon has been developing normally.
