Israel, officially the State of Israel, is a republic located on the eastern shore of the Mediterraneans. It has an area of 20,770 square kilometers with a population of more than 7.6 million people. The country has a Mediterranean-type climate. Its national day is May 14th. On January 9th, 1950, Israel declared to recognize China, but still had ambassadorial level diplomatic relations with Taiwan. On January 24, 1992, China established diplomatic relations with the Palestinians. They are worried about too many support from China to Palestinians, so the country established diplomatic relations at ambassadorial level with China.
