Netherlands

The Netherlands, officially the Kingdom of Netherlands, is a Northwestern European country. Bordered with the North Sea to the north and west, Belgium to the south, and Germany to the east, the Netherlands covers an area of 41,848 square kilometers with a population of 16.7 million people. It gained EU accession on March 25th, 1957. The capital is Amsterdam and the headquarters of government is in The Hague. The Netherlands has the 16th largest economy in the world. China and the Netherlands established diplomatic relations on November 19th, 1954.
