Juyongguan Great Wall
Juyongguan Pass, also known as Juyongguan in Chinese, is located in an 18 kilometer-long valley named "Guangou" which is inside Changping County more than 50 kilometers from Beijing City. The Pass we see today was planned by General Xuda and completed in the first year of the reign of the Emperor Hongwu of the Ming Dynasty (1368) and the years that followed, it was renovated again and again. Enlisted in the World Heritage Directory in 1987, it is a national cultural protection unit. The Great Wall around the Pass extends over 4km snaking the ridge of the mountains forming the valley. The natural landscape surrounding the Pass is extremely beautiful.
